US-based network infra firm, Belden opens Customer Innovation Center (CIC) in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, 11 January: Belden Inc, a leading global provider of network infrastructure and digitisation solutions, launched its first India Customer Innovation Center (CIC) in Bengaluru. The centre saw an investment of around Rs 100 crore, sources in the know said.

The Bengaluru facility marks Belden’s fifth CIC globally. The US-headquartered firm already has centres in Stuttgart, Germany; Santa Clara, California; Shanghai, China; and Chicago, Illinois. These innovation hubs cater to industrial and enterprise markets, offering network and data solutions for automation and smart infrastructure.

The new CIC in Bengaluru will serve as a strategic hub for co-innovation, bringing together customers, and partners. Belden will develop, test and validate industry-leading solutions that address the unique challenges of today's digital world from this new centre, the company said.

The center will focus on key business goals such as innovation, customization, digitization and providing a space where solutions can be crafted and validated onsite to simulate real-world challenges, it added.

Currently, the company has a manufacturing footprint in Chakan and Kochi.
